(1) Paint an Icon of a British Saint Six Day Workshop

11th-16th April

Paint an Icon of a British Saint 6 day workshop convened by Annie Shaw to help students develop their individual skills in painting in the Russian Float painting method.

There are a limited number of places for Beginners, for whom all materials will be provided. A gessoed board is provided for all.

Venue is Sunbury Court which provides excellent facilities plus inexpensive B&B.

It is close to the M3 & M25 and has good links to London Waterloo.

(2) The Fellowship of Saint Luke Icon Study Course

18th-19th September

Fr. Mefodii an Orthodox Priest/Monk and Master of The Prosopon School will hold a 2 day course to further our knowledge of the construction of the icon and the Russian/Byzantine Float technique of Painting.

Students of all experience welcome.

(3) Six Day Icon painting Course / The Byzantine / Russian Style

20th-25th September

The Fellowship will convene a mixed experience 6 day workshop, when an icon will be completed using traditional egg tempera and natural pigments in The Byzantine /Russian Float Style of painting.

Fr. Mefodii, an Orthodox Priest / Monk and Master of The Prosopon School will take us through all the stages of painting an icon both technically and enlighten us of the spiritual meaning of each layer of the icon. All materials are provided including a gessoed board. Both beginners and advanced students are welcome.

Courses will be held at Sunbury Court, the international conference centre of The Salvation Army. This wonderful C18th building is set in beautifully landscaped and tranquil gardens close to the River Thames and provides excellent facilities including inexpensive B&B. It is close to the M3 and M25 and has good rail links with London Waterloo.
